Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by Deleted on Jan 11, 2010 9:16:50 GMT 1, I'd like to think this was a misrepresentation but I've always been a little sceptical of Shep and his whole propaganda thing. Also I don't trust so called US punk post 85 the likes of f**kin Green Day and all that s**te. It all seems a little trite and aren't I so f**kin radical when in fact they are as conservative as the next bloke. Even the Pistols tshirt looks f**kin ridiculous and tired. I don't exactly "trust" Shep either, but let's not sh*t all over US punk (post 85), I mean we still have the Dead Kennedy's, Operation Ivy/Rancid, Swinging Utters', Gorilla Biscuts, the Casualities and 7 Seconds (even though these guys are originally from Canada and emigrated to the US while teenagers).
Operation Ivy!
LEGENDS......

Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by angel41 on Jan 11, 2010 10:23:17 GMT 1, I've always thought his face was highly punchable. Even more so in that first clip. Maybe he should release a limited run of Shep punch bags with his smug face on them. I'm sure they'd fly out of the door.
Maybe call it 'obey your fist'.

Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by spirit on Jan 11, 2010 11:49:40 GMT 1, Definitely a bit smug but not as bad as I thought it was going to be after reading the comments - isn't he just basically saying that recession is one of life's challenges and rather than give in to the 'fear' of it, it's better if you motivate yourself, work hard and try to push on through as best you can?

Surely they are peoples opinions as opposed to abuse.
You may not agree but you have to respect other peoples opinions no?

Exactly! You may not agree with Shep but in your own words you should respect his opinion.

It seems to me, and this is my opinion, that whenever a view is expressed with vitriol or criticism, it results in a tempory ban, thus members are mindful of this and post without the freedom of expression. IMO
Whats happened to cocteau101?

Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by Daniel Silk on Jan 11, 2010 17:03:56 GMT 1, If people want their opinions respected, they should start by respecting others.
Using words like - "smug git" "t**t" "smug t**t" "c**ts" "wanker" "c**t" He's and Idiot" "highly punchable" dunt sound much like people are respecting Shep's opinion to me

Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by willywonka on Jan 11, 2010 17:23:08 GMT 1, You got a little man crush on Shep Silky?
I think people were fairly good with their views. Some people use stronger language than others to get their views across. There was no abuse towards others, just discussing.

Shepard Fairey on The Recession, by Pedro Matos on Jan 11, 2010 19:15:43 GMT 1, my 2 cents: The kind of people who talk bad about the others are the same kind that blame "the man" for whatever happens to their lives. Shep has just said he keeps working hard and doing what he loves.. and everyone else should be doing the same instead of complaining or talking bad about others. Plus, if he's not suffering the crisis as much as other people, is because he has been working hard on his project for 20 years..
