Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by welikestatic on Dec 20, 2009 16:47:17 GMT 1, www.pauliframes.com/His studio is just by North Acton station, on the central line, in zone 2, so dead easy to get to (if you're in london)... His own art is a great reference. I chose my frame because of his hewlett on the wall... He has already framed some NBG's, so someone on here probably has one...
Yep, he is a top framer, we recently got one of our big 'Intergalactic Planetary' aluminium pieces framed for the show Inkie put on in Mayfair. One of the best frames i have ever seen with a secondary frame in the back to support the aluminium.
He's also a seriously nice bloke who seems to know pretty much every gallery and artist in the scene, with some of the big names regularly popping round to his studio with work.
The best bit for us is, he is only about 2 minutes from our studio so seriously handy for us

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by snausages on Dec 20, 2009 21:40:14 GMT 1, after the deal I get is registered in my name... Huh, they don't register prints in any bodys name. The original purchasers name helps prove it's authentic, but putting it in your name? What you talkin bout? Pay £50 they'll send you a certificate, but they don't put anything in anyones name.

Sorry, that's not right. They do actually amend their records if you contact them and can prove you are now the owner. I have a mail from POW stating that they have done this for a print I had authenticated.

Thats not the case, when a COA is issued the new owners name is stored on the database, this has happened to myself after buying prints on the secondary that originated from santas ghetto, where names were not taken down.

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by veralynn on Dec 20, 2009 21:50:31 GMT 1, Slight aside, but if they confirm that someone owns a print and this is registered to them then I think this a Data Protection breach.

Don't think they will give you any details of the previous owner, you need to provide that to them. Can't see any DPA issues with that.

I always ask the seller the name the print is registered under. I email dora this name and she comes back with a yes or no. You have to get the name exactly right. Once the deal goes through I send her the pictures and get it put under my name (I assumes she checks with the seller as well). One time a guy had two of the same print under his name and she came back to me to double check which number was going under my name. I keep printed copies of these emails for my records. I only buy with coa so not sure how it works when you don't have coa's in place. I thought everybody did this, obviously not.

Banksy - No Ball Games (GREEN), by snausages on Dec 21, 2009 7:28:37 GMT 1, If you have a NBG with the standard PC certificate all you have to do is verify the number sequence with PC/POW. This idea that they "put a print under your name" is a bit over the top, maybe they will add your name to the owners list to help with future verification purposes, but really not necessary if you got the cert.

You cant change the name with pow i have an email from dora confirming this, the original name is the only name it will registered with.
