Ricardo at Pauli frames is very good and reasonably priced. Particularly if you want a box frame as he hand makes them all, sands them down and sprays them so you get invisible joins at the corners. They are also a lot more hard wearing than "off the shelf" frames which tend to chip at the slightest knock.

What is BRPs policy on flipping ?. My personal stance is let everyone do what they want, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, generally, not just with art.

Any gallery that sells secondary market pieces is essentially flipping. Art has a private price and a gallery price and galleries just exploit the difference. It doesn't really bother me and as someone said before, it contributes to a healthy secondary market. I'm not sure the practise really has much effect on private prices, more the gallery price is determined by private price + markup.

Mike has already contacted me but i'm looking for more than 1850 unfortunately.
It's the way buying and selling goes and it happens with cars houses oil and just about every comodity out there buy low sell high. Galleries selling on the secondary market just want to make a profit and good effort in doing so i guess, at least they're dealing in something they love, unlike most stockbrokers and oil barons.
sometimes people need to realease funds from assets they had and a fairly reputable dealer like mike i'd have no problem dealing with. Distinctive-vision, fatherxmas et al is, unfortunately, another thing all together...

I'm not in a major rush to sell so am not looking for gallery prices by any means but at the same time am not a mug and won't take the stupid prices being offered by some.

not really. BRP have put on some great shows and introduced us to artists we may not have had the pleasure of seeing/knowing about.
They obv have a client looking to buy a NBG who is not comfortable buying off ebay or the forums. I wonder why? Oh yes, 'cos you were flogging pieces on ebay that you thought were fake.

Isn't the jury still yet to fully come back in from the lottery of the TMA Moscow?

I was given the impression that friends of NW allegedly were offered preferential treatment for this 'lottery' (I recall a bloke down the pub called Steve telling me this....).

My personal view is that if BRP are looking to punt one of these on to a captive market then there's many other avenues to investigate prior to purchasing off here. IMO it devalues their brand - at least this is what I'd think if they represented me.
