Beejoir Or Mantis?, by katokato on Jul 25, 2007 13:24:30 GMT 1, I like lots of art discussed on this forum Adam neate, Dalek, Delta, Connor Harringron, Chloe early, Matt Small, Jose Parla, David Choe, Swoon, Elbow Toe, Blu. Generally people with obvious talent and skill.

nice choices and all have a distinctive style. It's quite clear from these choices what YOUR prefered style is but why come on here and dig at members/artists with other preferences?
Surely there are better and more intelligent ways of discussing the merits / differences in artists than attacking forum members as well as the art YOU don't personally like.
as it happens, i agree with you on a few points as well as your choice in artists. Some recent images do seem cliche to me but lets discuss it rather than get personal yeah?

Beejoir Or Mantis?, by Existencil on Jul 25, 2007 14:14:06 GMT 1, Hey,
I've just been down to the show at Leonard Street & the best thing I saw was the girl on reception! She was beautiful!
Beejoir, Mantis & David Choe were the other stand outs!

Beejoir Or Mantis?, by finsburyparkranger on Jul 25, 2007 15:20:43 GMT 1, For me the Beejoir print is a great political piece. Not really sure what the Mantis print is trying to say. Is modern man being stabbed in the back by his ancestors? Why?
For me the Mantis evolution image is a sharp piece of work highlighting how we are ruining the ecosystem for the future generation. Its a reminder of the ecological holocaust we are witnessing. From the devastation of coral reefs to the loss of our rain forest and even polar ice caps, that will cause mayhem for humanity in the long term. Both Mantis and Beejoir pieces are very cool works of political art in my mind. Great examples of street art at its finest.
