Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by 2badmice on Jul 27, 2007 23:59:35 GMT 1, Gotto agree with you pp. I accidently chose the wrong night to visit TLSG last night and caught up in the queue for teh Beejoir, which I am not that interested in. Eventually got in had a look at the Beejoir and thought it pretty ordinary and just as I expected a giclee to be, weak....although Nick Wlaker giclee's are always good.
But the Arofish completely changed my mind about giclee's - I was in the nu camp about those - but the Arofish print used the giclee, spraypaint & screenprint technique to very good effect. The giclee for the details and the spray & screening for the textural stuff....best print there by far. I now have my first giclee in 5 years of collecting street & graffiti art.

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by pezlow on Jul 28, 2007 9:17:48 GMT 1, I think the old arguments about giclee is firmly knocked on the head but the shear breathtaking quality of all the Neate prints and by City Girl. Really ? I thought city girl was really lame. No more detailed than a picture in a book.
This is a joke right?

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by Yessir on Jul 28, 2007 14:10:41 GMT 1, hi guys for anyone that missed out on a the shell print i have a spare one which i can sell if your intrested. can deliver it to you in person. please let me know
I would love to hear the "STORY", about how you happen to have a "SPARE ONE", only a few hours after they happen to sell out.
You are entitled to make your money how you see fit, but don't act, like you are doing board members a favour, my friend....

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by Imoy-San on Jul 29, 2007 15:04:18 GMT 1, I personally wouldn't have been a happy bunny if I had queued in the rain, only to realise I didn't like the print.
To be honest, I hate queuing, and as mentioned to a few who were with me "I can't really do art, when my socks are wet!"
Is this print for sale or what?

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by Viva Hate on Jul 29, 2007 15:36:50 GMT 1, also did they all come with a certificate and wax mark? no wax seal but a fancy COA like the All Fall Downs.
Insite- Were you the one reading the Murakami book.
The print looks amazing in the flesh, Frankie is a nice guy. The same can be said about the staff in the Gallery. Also chatted to Pezlow in the que, top man.

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by Harveyn on Jul 29, 2007 16:03:46 GMT 1, Barksey1 - You're post made it sound like you had two. You're entitled to blatant flipping if that is your thing but generally on this forum people who are selling have not just bought the print 2 hours previous. Your offer to sell at £1700 was scandalous

Barksey1 you - neg me, but that is ok, I expected that for outing you for trying to be a "WISE GUY", but its ok.
I think forum members will understand where I'm coming from and also I think anyone in the queue on Thursday (some people queued for over two hours), who had to hear the words "SOLD OUT", will also understand where I'm coming from.
You offered your "SPARE PRINT", to a forum member for £1700, a few hours after they sold out, so if you didn't rate the print so highly (which is your right) , why the 1000%+ mark-up my friend?.
Like I said in my earlier post, you have the right to make your money however you see fit, but don't try to "WRONG-FOOT", forum members, or you are liable to end up with "EGG-ON-YOUR-FACE".
P.S I'm very happy my Mrs has just had a huge boob job and tonight is "TEST NIGHT" for me....

Marukomi, Mirukimi no not me mate can't even pronounce it. I did ask that guy if he was on the board when I first arrived and he sort of muttered something at the ground and got on with his book so I think he doesn't want us to know who he is If you were chatting with Pezlow we must have chatted at some point, I passed a camera round at one point to show everyone the Jef Aerosol piece down the road does that help.
Thought I'd post the photo because I'm quite pleased with it

Beejoir at Found-in-the-Rain, by pezlow on Jul 30, 2007 9:15:14 GMT 1, That pics come out really well. I like that image.
Pretty sure I recognised the murakami reader from somewhere but whether that was the Ghetto, some other show or somewhere else I wasn't sure. Being a bit shy I didn't ask him.
