...it used to be hanging on a wall in a bar in the centre of Bristol. Can't remember what bar it was though. It was huge!! And I think they had it behind a sheet of perspex. Long time ago now. Anyone know what happened to this one? Know of its whereabouts?

its only ironic now, it was titled that beacause nobody would buy it at the time.....some great pieces in there

Yep, the bar (The River just up from the Watershed on Bristol harbourside) sold it a couple of years ago, perhaps more recently than that. Someone had tried to burn it with a lighter when drunk apparently, but it was restored ok.
That rat on yellow is still in Bristol, but has long since been buried beneath stickers. The 'you love it you slags' isn't Banksy as far as i know. Never been attributed to him anyway.

I only lived 2 mins away from it back then... probably shouldn't have spent so much time getting drunk as a student. Maybe I would have known then. I lived right by his freehand piece on Welshback. Possibly one of my fave B pieces of all time, it's so simple.

I'm not a huge fan of the image myself but that's what makes art fun for all folks. You're in luck if this is one of your favorite images as aside from the blue one you copied above which sold for 96k GBP, the past 2 have both been bought in on different shades of pink (with the tag stenciled behind the coppers) at 50 and 30k GBP. The one for 30 was much larger than the other two (76 cm sq as opposed to 60 cm sq) and was bought in way back in July so its price has only come down SIGNIFICANTLY since then.

I thought the punchline was the Avon policeman looking through his binoculars properly and the Somerset (rural area) policeman gazing at the sky but perhaps I'm reading too much into it!
