Just to say that if you go to the gallery section, theres a pic of a bloke stood in front of Dface work with his face masked leading one to believe it's the man himself.
All I can tell you is either that is a very recent picture (they say it's ghetto '04)
Or it's definately not him as the guy in the pic has a wedding ring and Banksy was not married in'04.
I must admit to having been taught to skate by Mr Cousin's!!

Reality TV has-been? He was a pretty amazing basketball player for a long time.
Not to mention, he is a PR person's wet dream. If they can handle Rodman and Rodman thinks they can handle him, I assume that Banksy is in pretty good hands.

Front page Guardian articles for Cauty & Banksy aren't just luck. Journalists love a well written press release.. saves them from doing any actual work!

So really do you need to be a great artist ... or just employ a great PR agency?

They're a very small concern, anyone running a business that requires media coverage needs someone, whether internal or external, to write Press Releases and coordinate event launches. The only really cynical thing here is that they were commissioned to promote the Banksy in Palestine works... that's a bit low IMO, but maybe they justified it by "raising awareness" of the issues through Banksy. Either way, Arofish was there long before and will always get my respect for it.
PR companies are just a glorified mailing list with access to the media, a necessary evil but trust me, it's a lot better than dealing with a bunch of arrogant half witted journo's yourself.
