DFace - New York - 12th Sept - 10th Oct, by Karl Read on Aug 5, 2009 14:37:50 GMT 1, I loved his last exhib here, it would be good if he moved it on again for the U.S show though. The super heros thing at the time was cool, by the time the U.S show is on i think it might be a little tired, so it would be great if he had a new direction for that.

That work was very good and also very sought after. Also it was great timing with the boom in the contmporary market (warhol et al) this made his work even more desirable. The super hero stuff i dont rate as highly.

DFace - New York - 12th Sept - 10th Oct, by Sohoria on Aug 5, 2009 18:01:25 GMT 1, I actually really liked the style of his last show... was nice to be in the queue with people who wasnt fully sold and seeing there response once walking through all the rooms then to the actual art pieces up on the walls...
good few months past since last show and even before the last show he was working on new ideas for the levine so im pretty confident that he will amaze again...
maybe be mix of warhol/popart 3d styled workings or could be something completely different... id like to see workings of the wwII characters used to see on sides of airplanes also think would go well...lol.. im excited about the show... busy month over in the states i think for art shows and hope great success for him ...always nice to see british artist overseas doing well...s

DFace - New York - 12th Sept - 10th Oct, by Daniel Silk on Aug 5, 2009 22:36:49 GMT 1, I wonder if they do a print release from this show they will only be available from Jonathan LeVine Gallery, or would they involve a UK gallery to handle orders over here?
Dint he do that before, and some were released by Black Rat Press?

DFace - New York - 12th Sept - 10th Oct, by sand on Aug 5, 2009 22:42:13 GMT 1, He did it with the 'Cli-che' print for the 'Eyecons' show in 2007...some were available in person on the opening night, the rest through BRP.
BRP also did this with Nick Walker's show at Carmichael gallery and the 'TMA Hollywood' print - again some available on the opening night at the gallery and the rest via BRP.

The lenticular was only released by BRP for 'White Noise' show Nov 07, only the 'dollar' was released by part Levin (Streets of Europe, Dec 07) and part BRP (online, Dec 07).

DFace - New York - 12th Sept - 10th Oct, by Deleted on Aug 7, 2009 22:42:34 GMT 1, Hey Wiz, Yep, I finally got my DSTQ from a very nice forum member towards the end of last year. Never managed a green though silver works for me. I'm a bit of a DSTQ whore as this is my third though its safe to say I wont be letting this one go, not at least till I bag a green.
The A-hole is still on my wish list, the guy selling the one currently is asking far too much, I nearly bought from him last year but thats another long story....
Here's my pride and joy.

Gallery is on the 9th floor. If I recall correctly the gallery is sort of set up like a barbell. The entrance is narrow and to your left or right to it opens up into the specific galleries. I missed the invader/wk exhibit, but the blek/doze green exhibit had a mix of their work when you entered and the various galleries on either end were dedicated to each artist. Space is about 2300 sq ft.
