We were keeping quiet on this, but as the cat is clearly out of the bag and hurtling around the room we might as well confirm it.

We are publishing two new prints with Inkie. Each print will be in two versions - a standard version in an edition of 33 and a special version hand finished in 24 carat gold leaf in an edition of 10. We also have some other projects lined up with Inkie, more of which at a later date....

We have just finalised our new print edition with the legendary Inkie.

One of the first and most prolific graffiti artists in Britain, Inkie was inspired by the arrival of the film 'Wild Style' as well as the book 'Subway Art'. At the time he was living in his home town of Bristol and painting alongside Banksy, 3D of Massive Attack fame and Nick Walker 'aka' Apish Angel. Inkie painted his first wildstyle in the summer of 1984 influenced by punk rock album graphics and early New York wild style pioneers such as Dondi, Seen & T-Kid. He came 2nd in the World Street Art championships in 1989 against fierce competition from LA, New York and all major European countries. Later that year he was arrested as the 'kingpin' in the UK's largest ever graffiti bust, Operation Anderson. In the late 1990s he moved to London at the same time as fellow Bristolian & graffiti cohorts Banksy & Will Barras. Although he has his own distinct style, Inkie has not forgotten his roots and has continued to collaborate on and off with Banksy and his other old friends at events such as Glastonbury.

s-editions are publishing two print designs, 'Object Of My Desire' and 'Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder'. Both are hand pulled screen prints in black ink, gold ink, 1 spot colour and 2 colour fade on 300 gsm Somerset Soft White paper stock with deckled edges, at a sheet size of 56 cm x 76 cm. The 2 colour fade will result in each print being slightly different. Both prints will be in strictly limited editions of 33, signed and numbered by the artist.

In addition, there will also be very limited runs of 10 of each design hand finished in 24 carat gold leaf.

There will be no other prints published using these designs, so when they are gone they are gone.

Sometime within the next 24 hours we will be announcing a very special pre-publication deal and posting the artwork for both prints on this forum.

Your first classy print! But an audacious price as usual, credit crunch you say? Never heard of it mate.

Love the prints, too expensive though... bit of a shame as i bet they would have sold out really quickly had the price been more realistic.

Prefer to see a pic of the actual print before parting with 300 squids tho... wonder how much the gold leaf versions are!?

We would have preferred to wait until the prints were ready too, but someone wrote about them on this forum and people started to ask us about them. We therefore decided to take up the momentum and publicise them pre-publication.

Ironically, we normally publicise prints pre-publication anyway - but in this case we were planning on waiting until they were all finished and only sell them at our December show.

And you only have to part with 239.20 squids if you are one of the first 20 purchasers, not 300 squids

Nice images, although I think the standard £300 is overpricing them a tad. The other stuff is bonus material, not forgetting many interested parties may not be available and in the area for the show, so that's not necessarily beneficial to buyers anyway (although the Berlin show looked very cool from the flicks!). Besides, what good is offering an additional print without showing it or giving any details? Personally I do like Pez's work a lot, but it's not a style I'd want at home, looks fantastic when he works outdoors in situ imo though - never fails to make me smile.

The Inkie images aren't really for our walls either, although they are very representative of Inkie's style and look like they'll be nice once done. Pez onside too now eh?! I was also impressed with the works you've offered by David Walker in recent months. Looks like you're starting to get a nice little rosta together! Good luck with that and the preselling and show-planning anyway. Hope you're keeping well!

Totally over priced.
Too many good prints released in the last week or 2 for around £50 to even consider this!

The work will go online on 1st December, the day of the show opening to the public. However, if we get really excited we might poke our webguy with a sharp stick, rouse him from his slumbers and ask him to put a couple of sneaky peeks up.
