I love that I could study all the images before deciding which one I wanted then sleeping on it and it still be available the next mornining. Couldn't have done that with some other peoples print releases.
Also when compared to the recent print release such as from Faile which went for around what I have just paid for an original Lucy I feel I have a real bargain and the image of the eye I purchased has significance to me.
The other thing I love is that forum members who are Lucy fans seem a much more civilised group of people giving constuctive critiques and congratulating others on thier purchases unlike some threads for other artists which are full of negative comments and insults.

I liked that the iris has images of characters from past works such as the warrior bird and say something. Also I think it is an image that stands well alone. - just my opinion and i can't wait to get it on my wall.

Can't believe the price either, it was a corker! I had tried to hold it, but I was too late. Some of these pieces - my purchase included - actually come framed too, so that adds even more value to the deal! I got another piece I liked though (Implosion of Feeling). To be perfectly honest I like almost all of the pieces from the show, the tricky part was finding a piece my wife liked as she's not really into portraits, heads, faces etc. I'm very pleased as this piece was her choice so it will be loved by her too and I have permission to hang the Twins prints opposite it, so pretty satisfied really!

I would ask the gallery to send you a photo of the piece in situ. The show runs for a month so they will have plenty of opportunity to do this, I'm sure. With this type of show I think that it's also a great additional record to keep as documentation of the piece's origin, together with the COA and invoice/receipt. That way future owners (if there are any) will have a chance to get a better feel for the piece in it's original context too. I realise you haven't bought to flip, but everyone has the right to tire of and change their art around at some point (or for that matter, sell for any other reason once it's yours).

The piece I purchased was incorrectly labled. The one I chose is now half the size although a bit cheaper or for the price I paid I can have a larger eye but its very plain. Don't know what to choose now as the other pieces I could have bought have now sold out.

I hear Lucy's out there, maybe you could try your luck, explain what happened and say which were the pieces you most connected with and beg for a commission within the right price-range. May get lucky, may not, but no harm in asking! If not you may find you can negotiate a discount with the gallery. It's not the only mislabelling they're culpable of, as my piece was up for sale with a different name til I mentioned it to them!

They said Lucy was still in town making more pieces but she doubted there would be any more on paper. I might ask if she can do another larger piece in the same price range as before for me considering the mixup.
Its actually a quarter of the size at 15"x11" compared to 30"x22" so I'm quite disapointed. Instead of being a focal piece in the room, I think it might look lost now on the wall.
