£285 each. I don't think they're madly expensive for editions of 50, I was just commenting about my own financial state and not being able to drop another £292- £876 on prints right now.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here mate! I'm not complaining and had this been released a year or more ago, I would almost certainly have bought one (not all 3 though, just the silver probably).

However, this is the number 1 reason that I've been far more interested in the (perhaps slightly less vanguard) field of poster art lately. Because for £300 I could build a small collection of new releases (5/6/7 prints) by McCarthy, Danger, Emek, Munter, Stout etc etc... (the list is almost endless). And their work looks great in a frame and on the wall, plus there's a strong collector base meaning that should you tire of it, you'll get most of your money back.

This scene is unbeatable imo when it comes to up to the minute social commentary and new ideas, but in these tough times, relatively young collectors (like myself) have to think twice about spending £300 on a print at the moment imo. It helps that there's so much lovely work around for much less too.

i agree some times i ish i had £50 thread art on my walls and fakes that way i would not need to think about if this or that is going up in value as timesare changing

They are still available and in my heart of hearts, I really want one. I enjoy Lucy's work and I think this is a piece that stands well against recent releases. I just can't bring myself to drop just short of £300 on it.

It's a shame as I feel at £200, these would have gone very very quickly.

Didn't know English was your second language Graeme, so I'll doft my cap to you and apologise. My Portuguese is non existant, my Spanish limited to asking for a couple of beers and a coffee. I got properly humbled on a trip to Tarifa by my linquistic shortcomings.

Share adamk's thoughts on this print on one basis that priced at c £200 they would've flown, I guess the POW effect enables a premium to be charged for pretty much anything, if Banksy's buggered off it does make them a partially busted flush.

I know that's a joke because there's no such language as Scottish, the only nationally evolved method of communication being the Glasgow kiss ;-)
