Its being refurbished and due to open this year. One of the owners is Ed Sheeran as its one of his old drinking haunts. Kensington and Chelsea council want the piece removed which is a total crime as its really stunning when you stand and look at it. Its a real crime that councils will only recognise works by banksy as worthy of protection,all other pieces being classed as unsuitable ir vandalism. Go and see this whilst its still there,shame a petition to keep it can't be raised.

The piece hasn't been done and won't be. They were planning on doing it as part of the refurbishment of the building but when they presented the project at a council meeting people voted against it. The image you see in the article is a mock-up of the mural, it's not an actual picture. |

Of course, I would go for one of the hand-finished prints with a smaller edition size than Rupture, but that is just my opinion. (and note, I do not have ANY vhils prints for sale on the bay, or anywhere for that matter).

It is strange that it was already there and I thought it was because of the previous post, but that was from like a month before. Strange things are afoot. I own a "To Have or To Be" from POW that has colors and I have a Taciturn from Goldman Global Arts during Art Basel Miami. To tell the truth, the Taciturn is beautiful print in person. While not colorful, it is an edition of 110 (10 were being put into Vhils' vault apparently), a huge print (roughly 28" x 40") and hand finished. Really can't beat it for the bang for the buck. And no, I am not selling it on any online location. I love mine. And if you can find a "To Have or To Be", don't pass up on it...it is a beaut too. I am actually looking for another one to put up in a different room actually. |

In my opinion an artist needs an identity and vhils chosen medium has enormous potential.
