HELLO NEW YORK

Knowing when to move on is almost as important as knowing when to begin. After living in Los Angeles for nearly 8 years, the time has come for me to relocate. Los Angeles has been very kind to me over the years, but at the end of the day, it just never felt like my city. This June I will be relocating to New York City. I already have a studio in Williamsburg, and will be in New York the first week of May to begin the stressful search for apartments. If *anybody* in New York is reading this, and knows of an apartment (1or 2 bedroom) in the Williamsburg area, It would be appreciated if you could let me know.

To mark my departure from Los Angeles I will be having a 'Farewell show' the XLarge Upstairs Gallery on Vermont Avenue. I invite those of you on the west coast to come have a drink with me, and check out my newest body of work.

In addition to the new body of work, I will also be showing some gems that have been tucked away in my studio. I started to clean out my studio, and I keep running across pieces that have slipped into the storage corners of my studio. Many of these pieces have been sold out for years, so this will be your last chance to pick up the pieces.

To commemorate this show I have worked with X-Large to produce a number of items that will be available exclusively at the Los Angeles X-Large shop

Here are the computer mock-ups of the pieces I will have available. Obviously the final product will be slightly different from the computer comps, but there is enough for you to get the idea:

BLACK RAT PRESS RELEASE

Over the years I have had my work reproduced on posters, shirts, magazines, and a host of other mediums. I was rarely happy with the reproductions, so I had given up on doing prints. Last year I was approached by the people over at Black Rat Press about doing a print. Because of the past experiences with reproductions I was hesitant. After a lenghty talk, I was assured that nothing would be released unless it got my 100% approval. After a few proofs we arrived at cross roads where the artwork intersects with the printing process. I am extremely happy with the results

For the first print, I decided to do the 'Sunset Apartment Complex' piece.

sorry for the small image, but as I am getting ready to send this out, I realized that my higher res images are at my studio. You will be able to view a better resolution image on the www.BlackRatPress.com website shortly.

I am flying over to London next week to sign the prints, and I expect the prints will be released the second week of May. For info on edition and price, check out the BlackRatPress.com website
