Xenz π¬π§ Graeme Brusby β’ Graffiti Artist β’ Street Art, by Rsyok on Mar 11, 2010 14:22:15 GMT 1, Yeah been frantically F5-ing for the last hour or so and finally managed to get one of the ones on 'Almond Board' - BTW anyone know what 'Almond Board ' is!!??  They all disappeared pretty quick though - there were 6 and when I checked back had all gone again.... But 30 odd of the 75 edition up now. Kind of torn - like both editions (as rsyok says quite like the contrast with the white paper) and a tough call without seeing in the flesh, but had to go for the 25 ed. I do love this sort of thing from Xenz and will look great with my Red & Gold Special Branch!!
Suprised Xenz would be bothered to apply gold leaf, Im sure he has a few cans of gold spray knocking around. Quality POW release.
Proper basket bingo being played with the paper version, theyll probably all go today.

Damn, was hoping for it on some kind of marzipan-type backing - thought maybe Xenz was 'branching out' (s'cuse semi-pun) into 'Street Cake Art' - a new edible form of artistic expression..... ;D ;D Fancy a Banksy on licorice?
And yeah some major basket bingo going on with this one - didn't really expect this for a Xenz for some reason - love his stuff though I do! Oh well, maybe it means he's getting a bit more recognition (he said hopefully...!)

Having said that, the quality of the work was very high and certainly impressive - all very pretty, dreamy etc. The girlfriend preferred it to 'most of the shit on our walls' Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
rsyok, as if I'd forget - shame it's on at stupid o'clock here so nowhere's open to show it - I have to wait until the replay the following day (and avoid any contact with the outside world to avoid hearing the result!).

It was the only one at $1 all the others from the edition of 50 were $340. Possibly a mistake by the gallery (hopefully they will honour it) but there was also a funny timer thing on it which said 12 minutes left which none of the others have so it could be some kind of weird special offer...
Interesting to see what happens...
Edit: just got an apologetic "tech issues" email....looks like a refund is on its way. Not my lucky day after all.
