I bought this from the recent/ongoing Pictures on Walls jamboree for £216 including postage, but I don't think it's going to make the wall. They never come up for sale these days, and I have no idea of its real value, but it certainly wasn't bought with profit in mind. So I'll ask for £225 including UK postage. If I'm way out let me know, but if I sell for any more than £225 all additional money will go to a charity agreed with the buyer (and whatever that comes to, I'll double it).

Must admit that my decision to sell a couple of unframed Xenz prints (see for sales thread elsewhere) was to fund the purchase of this one, which has pre-approval and will be on the wall shortly. I got one of the super-handfinished ones with added butterflies – went to the gallery and had a look at all of them, and couldn't help myself. They're lovely, I think.

They were all pretty good. Having the painting break out of the printed border really adds to its impact, in my opinion. They also had the original, which really doesn't cost a whole lot more than the super-handfinished prints – well, three and a half times as much, which isn't such a crazy multiple. It's a bit smaller than the prints, and obviously has lots of extra texture, but I thought the prints would look just great when framed up.

Another print within the next couple of months and a show early next year, apparently.

I went for the normal hand finished one as that was all that was up at 11 as had a taxi waiting for me.
How much extra hand finishing does the more expensive one have, I can see the butterflies on the edge but what else am I missing out on?

I think the actual print is the same in all three versions. The standard hand-finished version has some drips and splatters, and the branch has been painted with some kind of lustrous paint. The super hand-finished versions have two bonus butterflies, those drips and splatters and gold leaf on the branch. There's a big jump in price between the standard h/f and the super-duper h/f; I think they definitely look better, but whether that's worth the premium probably depends on your finances.

Anyone pick up the new Xenz? If not why the fuck not!?
