The Faile retrospective was great also. Plenty of prints and originals I had never seen before and great to see their progression through the years and also changing styles and media techniques used.
As always great to meet up with a few fellow forum members.
Well worth a visit for anyone who is not yet converted.

I think you should be able to just rock up today. Last night they seemed to be ok with anyone going in, though were wielding a guest list clipboard, which fortunately I swerved.
It's well worth a look; great show with lots of nice developed traditional, as well as original ideas. The arcades lend themselves so well to their graphics, both externally and on the screen. All in all a visual treat; which did have a great seedy quality to it too as you go inside and downstairs, which consciously or not tied in well with the areaโs links with dodgy video shops and the 'red light' vibe! Tell you what; it would make a great bar down there!

I didn't feel the retrospective at Rathbone said enough, 10 years of faile could have been so much better. Some stuff was quite special but only 1 floor. It needed to be bigger.

Agreed. I felt the inclusion of Challenger and the papermonster Fight Vanity was simply to make up the numbers. The canvases are great but some prints from the golden era (2006) were needed.
But its all about the Greek St exhib for me.
