Indeed. Many sales were done quickly to flip and make a quick buck. Good for the artist to move some prints bad for flippers. I still think politics was one of the best deals at ยฃ150 and the Disney black is very cool as well but, at this point in time I would pay very little above cost.

As many said a couple of months ago, DB's work was hyped up quite a bit, with the intention of a few people making a healthy profit. Wonder if this will be another case of an over inflated price having to come down to a more realistic level?

He wont 'do a banksy' and increase overnight, but, if you like his work you will not lose out financially in the long term.

I bought a Disneyland Black for over the odds a while ago, and i could probably get one ยฃ200 cheaper now, but having it in front of me in the flesh and seeing the quality and the care that has gone into it, i couldn't give a shit about its value & possible future value, to me it was worth every penny and it will never be sold as it is my favourite print (and i have some signed banksys!, sorry!), the missus and my little girl love it too, its just so damn vivid and eyecatching it is a real assault on the senses! (but i agree, Dan has produced some real turkeys too!)
