where do you see the preorder?

A little word of warning from my own experience with Copro Nason: they tend to be very slow in getting new print releases out. There have been instances when I ordered a print but they did not actually have them printed yet and had to wait about a month or so in addition to making a few phone calls.

Also, for their prints on wood (Kawasaki, Amy Sol) they usually print extra copies which aren't noted on their web site: usually around 10 artist proof prints, and 10 printer proof prints which are held for later resale. When I purchased an Amy Sol 'Dream of the Celadon' print on wood recently, it was a printers proof print they sent me not one of the regular numbered editions. I was surprised because 10 printers proofs is a lot when the edition size was 50. Just an FYI if those details matter to you as a collector.

A bl**dy bargain!!

Copro Nason's most recent "giclee on board" prints by Amy Sol were prints on paper which are then mounted onto a thin board, which is then coated with a varnish and then framed. Note: in the Amy Sol images online you can't see that there is a texture to the paper.

Secret bird sold out. Surprised as i thought the other was a nicer image. Shame the frame is much nicer on secret bird.

Hmm... So is the print actually printed on the wood? Or is it paper stuck on wood?

I just don't want to see any disappointed forum members. I have been able to inspect several of the Amy Sol prints which were also advertised as "giclee on board" and they are simply paper prints, mounted onto a wood board, then varnished, then framed. You're basically paying the higher cost than a regular Kawasaki print for the mounting and framing job.

Another hidden fyi, with the Amy Sol prints you could request to buy them unframed for a lower cost.

I've a few Amy Sol & Audrey Kawasaki giclee on boards and they are lovely. I don't think there is any intention to mislead and I'd take thes any day over the majority of churned out prints from the likes of POW. There is at least a little bit of care and time spent on these and they are ready framed which saves a few bob as well.

Audrey Kawasaki has released two other prints on wood and they are stunning. They are paper prints mounted on wood but the wood grain shows through the paper.

By the way, these are an absolute bargain. I figured they had sold out but logged on and got one. Can't believe these didn't sell out instantly because there actually is a very, very good market for Kawasaki prints on wood.

This is as close to an original you can get without spending thousands of dollars.

Either way, the beauty of the mounted on wood print is that because it is framed and varnished it can hang as a painting - I personally am a little tired of paper prints - matted or floated - in a frame. I just have too many framed prints and prefer different forms of presentation.

Anyone noticed how quickly Audrey Kawasaki prints are selling on Ebay!!

The strong pound must be helping, but they do look good!
