Some people don't like the fact that an artist encounters commercial and popular success with art pieces which are mere pics taken from Google pics, applied a quick photoshop filter or illustrator vectorization (obviously the case on that chaplin) and improved with an idea. Many do the same so I assume many are also jealous.
MBW has no more talent than most of us. But he is obviously a good marketer (and certainly has some money to finance his stuff and good connections in art / media relays), which allows him to have success.
Talent is certainly not enough to succeed nowadays. Too much competition. I am convinced if you don't know or encounter the right people your potential genius or talent can remain unknown and unseen for years.
If MBW leads art collectors to get more interest in Urban Art, it could be good for all artists in upcoming years.

The difference being is that Banksy is actually quite a good draftsman in his own right..... MBW can't draw for shit.

No matter how much you hate he has a lot of love for his work, if anything the hate is bring him more appeal, the whole point to art is to create a scene, a discussion, an opinion, whether good or bad that is what he does on here every time without trying!
Think a lot of people who slate him secretly buy to keep his work as well!
