A couple of weeks back my quest for a juicy Dain original was fulfilled and a lovely big canvas arrived. Alas, the evil tempter who sold me the canvas (as well as the world's coolest and dirtiest Bast Mickey) let slip he had another Dain, which I foolishly suggested I'd like too.
Thinking six months down the track etc etc
Of course, his other Dain is now available so he can buy a prized piece and he has offered it to me at a good price. Alas, after Dain 1, Bast and a small Dubuffet in the past few weeks I can't afford both.
It's close, but I prefer Dain 2, so mine is for sale.
As mentioned in the title, it is a bigun. I bought it unstretched and the dimension were 1400 x 1200. It is currently at my framers, but I can stop him stretching, or remove the frame. Dain supplies his canvases with very rough edges so there is no loss.
The painting is a classic Dain multiple image called 'Lady with Brush', and was purchased from Lint. I've tried to attach pics. I have all the provenance.
I know everyone says that such and such artist is bound to go up, so all I'll say is that Dain has a better chance than most. He is part of an exhibition at Prescription Art in a couple of weeks, has show coming up after that at Brooklynite, then a big solo show at Ad Hoc in January. He's Bast's bro so the genes are good.
I'm asking 750 pounds shipped anywhere in the world, which feels reasonable given a similarly sized and themed canvas is up at a gallery for 1750.
Let me know.
Oh, and whilst I'm quite new here I've done a few successful trades and have 500+ positives at eBay for Blackwash1
