Fake π³π± Amsterdam Street Art β’ Manuel Seikritt, by moleman on Sept 3, 2009 21:26:22 GMT 1, hi grafter no offence ment may be i was a little blunt i like your work and fakes also.
What i ment was many different colour ways of one image is a regular thing which you do as do many others. I think fake needs to answer the question but its obvious your just paying the gallery premium.
What i ment really was that your splashes were available through you for 80 each but yet the same three images on one bit of paper sells for 400 at a gallery.
I realise the situation is not the same but as i said it was similar
I however would still love one of your angel pieces but they seem to have disappered.

the way I tend to "run things" is to have a flat rate for a piece that the gallery take their commission out of if its sold through them, otherwise-wouldnt the market values get confused?

Fake π³π± Amsterdam Street Art β’ Manuel Seikritt, by Grafter on Sept 3, 2009 21:50:02 GMT 1, No problem.... I know that 'Splash' has been well and truly covered in many formats and I know it may seem to have been overdone. However, I am happy that each version had a distinct change to it enough to distinguish it from others. It also proved to be incredibly popular and demand far outstripped supply many times over. Believe me, I have turned away many more inquiries for 'Splash' than have been made, including half a dozen this past week alone. It also seems that all subsequent editions had little effect on the value of the original version, as the original white version that was sold for Β£80 regularly still changes hands in excess of Β£500.
But then again, this is not about me, is it?

Care to answer some of the other posts....?
While you're at it you can clarify if it's an edition of 20 or 15 as it is now showing on your site....... Are you making this up as you go ....?

Fake π³π± Amsterdam Street Art β’ Manuel Seikritt, by gallery90 on Sept 3, 2009 22:17:07 GMT 1, It is an edition of 15, just to clarify. As you will no doubt notice we have modified our original post and updated our site details. We've just been so busy, sometimes it is hard to keep track of all the artist specifications.
Thank you for your input. We're really pleased you are taking such an interest in our gallery!

In fact one of your artists is new to me. Care to tell us a bit about 'Dodger'

I have a major problem with these clowns. Why don't you ask them who it was who put that show together and introduced them to the artists they use....?

Fake π³π± Amsterdam Street Art β’ Manuel Seikritt, by lumbo on Sept 3, 2009 23:06:21 GMT 1, Don't see why people are splitting hairs about an image that's been ripped of from somewhere else anyway - how can someone claim an "edition" of what is essentially a photocopy with a gun stuck to it?
Saw it here ages ago, but a slight variation: www.flickr.com/photos/prole_art/3772860982/

Cheers.... Had a few bad experiences with galleries over the Summer and got sucked into too many legal and corporate jobs. It got to feel like a job and felt like i'd lost control for a while. Lost the enthusiasm and buzz of what drew me to this scene in the 1st place. Have now re-focused and plan to hit streets again with avengance.....

Fake π³π± Amsterdam Street Art β’ Manuel Seikritt, by Fake on Sept 4, 2009 9:01:14 GMT 1, Hi Guys,
Sorry for the confusion, But this print is the first edition of the print. There has been a small canvas edition that sold out. But never a print. I think itβs a very common thing that a print is released after a canvas edition. (like the Dolk Police Line for example)
About the price difference, the price with gallery90 is including shipping and on my shop its excluding shipping. If you total the both up you will have a total of 85,- Squid Gallery90 added the shipping twice and this was a mistake ;-)
Sorry again for the confusion and Gallery90 will rectify it asap!
Cheers,
FAKE
