Did this with my Beejoir. Nice and simple.
For my Hirst I had a beautiful spare deep box frame with museum glass and invisible corners so whilst the proportions are not quite right I think it works okay. It is suspended on nylon pillars which have rubber studs to locate in the holes (press fit). So the board is suspended in air with only the inner walls of four holes touching the rubber studs.

I don't like the way you have framed that Hirst but oh my I do like that deck. Very nice example.

I'm not an expert and maybe I'm missing a joke but I think the framing looks amazing. I love it.

Well it a ยฃ300+ frame of the highest quality and whilst you might question the proportion its hardly tatty. IMO. I think it just about works but I will live with it for a while and decide whether it needs changed. No fixings used so no harm done.

Nails in the wall, and fishing line through the holes in the deck.

Art Skateboard Deck Wall Mounts, by ca on May 14, 2017 20:50:31 GMT 1, Looking for a proper display case for a skateboard. I remember seeing one here with a Damien Hirst doodled board in it. Any chance someone came across some type of transparent case that doesn't look super cheap? I don't want any wall display, more like a case that would let me display it vertically on the ground.
Cheers

Art Skateboard Deck Wall Mounts, by h.dupa on Jan 29, 2021 13:56:12 GMT 1, Hi all,
I bought the I See decks from Paul insect and i'm looking for a way to display them. I found the mounts in another topic and ordered these.
I'm thinking of buying a black 90x90 frame without glass (the decks are 80x21cm each). To hang them i need to have a sturdy backboard, which shouldn't be a problem.
But what for background/board color? What would be you advice?

I had a look on Amazon and there is a wide variety and I would like to avoid damage to the decks.
thanks

Think I used flymo lawnmower thread for mine and a screw in hook

There are a few companies that make mounts that either don't need / have those, or they have a less rugged version that marks them less.
Skateroom sell these, for example: theskateroom.com/product/snap-display-skate-wall-mount These are another option: www.hellahangers.com/
