Sorry, I wasn't referring to the variation on Banksy's piece - but the wonderful addition from someone who decided to paint over the perspex as displayed in matt's photos.

It would be unfortunate if this thread were overly diluted by faux Banksy street art.
At least collectively, we're able to spot and filter out such pieces.
In this instance — even leaving aside the Chichester location, poor execution and rather lame concept — the fact we aren't in the presence of a genuine Banksy is evident.
Because the Chichester rats are based on familiar imagery, previously created by the artist:
Croydon (2019) + Paris (2018)
