Whilst I might accept that Denning is technically skilled I certainly wouldn't agree he is a "great artist". Great is an overused word on these boards. Go to any art college graduation and you will see at least 2 or 3 examples of students who are equally as technically accomplished as denning.

his work also reminds me of a college student who wants to get into graphic novels. Sorry to all the Guy Denning fans. But my barge pole will remain dry when ot comes to this artist.

Cheers for this link +1. It will be very interesting to see how this auction goes. I don't know if I want it to be a great success so that the artists get the recognition that I believe they are due, and no doubt push the prices up  or it is not a success and the prices remain reasonable.

I wasn't questioning the quality of GD's work when I said "I don't see it." It just seems to me that POW/LAZ concentrate on a certain type of art and GD's work does not really fit in there. I love GD's work. He deserves more attention - no doubt.

I don't agree.
No-one knows where Guy sees his career going apart from himself. If Originals is what does it for him, and lets face it, GD prints don't sell that well at the mo, then i think he has all he wants at RP. Why Change.
Laz is not the be all and end all of the business.
