Missed out on the red one from Opus, so had to settle for the blue one from AR. My first C215 print and I am a happy camper.

C215 🇫🇷 Christian Guémy • Paris Street Art • Stencil Artr, by Karl Read on Jul 25, 2008 11:04:07 GMT 1, Well my thoughts of getting a low number, as i called Opus to put the print up and then clicked buy straight away did not materialize as i got a number in the 20's! Oh well im not too bothered but the print turned up with the corners bent back which im not too pleased about, im gonna see how it flattens out! Print does look great though.

Im thinking on whether to do that or not as it's kind of bent but has'nt seemed to of creased to much. Im going to see how it turns out. As i love this print and can imagine it would be pretty hard for me to get a replacement!

C215 🇫🇷 Christian Guémy • Paris Street Art • Stencil Artr, by romanywg on Jul 31, 2008 22:50:20 GMT 1, The reason it's best not to send them through the post is because the stencil will rub against the packaging and on stone is more prone to scratching. They're not that heavy. If you think of a piece of 12" x 12" slate, also 1/2" thick. I would just rather not send it through the post and it to get smashed somehow. They are stunning pieces, it would be a shame. If I kept them I would stand them up on a mantle piece but I'm sure any half decent framer would have a solution to framing them too.

Call me what you like. Christian was over in the UK for the Art Republic Anniversary and to paint our colab' piece for the Cork Street Show and as usual left a few pieces for me to sell on his behalf so that collectors can save a few bob by not going through the galleries.
1st Cardboard piece SOLD.

...at 7.30 this morning the left side of this box had its door stolen from in front of the gallery.. it had 2 C215 pieces on it, one of which was done yesterday... NUTS !!
I guess its an answer to urban blight though... if everybody goes around putting nice art on ugly walls and objects in the street then theres a fair chance the object or wall will be removed...

What annoys me is that the electrical/phone company will start clamping down on graf. as they are the one that will foot the bill for the replacement door. Nature of the beast i guess.

C215 🇫🇷 Christian Guémy • Paris Street Art • Stencil Artr, by Pure Evil on Aug 2, 2008 15:24:45 GMT 1, heres C215's response :
"!!! ... the problem is that we paint for everybody and just one gets the pleasure from now. hard times where neighbours, cops, buffers, toyers and even thieves have to be struggled with. we could almost understand why "street artists" work less and less in the streets.. no? "
and my reply..
"Its the conflict that makes the world go around...
animals have a worse time ...
"The total amount of suffering in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute it takes me to say these words, thousands of animals are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, feeling teeth sink into their throats. Thousands are dying from starvation or disease or feeling a parasite rasping away from within. There is no central authority; no safety net. For most animals the reality of life is struggling, suffering and death."
Richard Dawkins, The Genius Of Darwin (Mon, 8pm, C4) "

With regard to animals, society has put us above these problems, interesting how we like to bite the hand that feeds no?
