I'm conflicted myself because even using the most reversible methods, there's a slight mark on the back. A large piece like RVE would need a lot of tape. But I suppose over 15 years you're better off without a mat mark than having little tape marks on the back. I know it's all in the technique of the framer, but think anyone may potentially leave tape marks right?
Hopefully enough people chime in here on the subject, but you're all for floating with tape over matting?

If the edges of the print are in the actual frame like so, does the edge get a brownness to it ever? |
