Adam and Ron Show, by Billy Sport on May 3, 2008 18:26:55 GMT 1, was one of the last in the queue at A & Rs show for the book signing, they must have finished about 1:30pm. I took my wife and 3 month old daughter, was really impressed with the exhibition, then went to the cans fest. superb day!!!

Both were very generous with their time and did doodles for most (all?) although I was a little disappointed Mr Neate wouldn't do any pieces on cardboard (well a boy can hope eh?) but he did do a fantastic portrait of me and my girlfriend - which I got him to do in a extra book so I can remove and frame the page (I'm going to have to leave the 2 male and female faces were they are in the other books) IMO pregancy test, the boat and coffee really pushed and impressed - can this man do no wrong!! I highly reccommend going along to the exhibiton - Elm L (Paul?) has put on a great show and handled with expertise and grace! A++

Plus could not believe how cool Adam and Ron were at the book signing, happy to sit and doodle for hours. People did seem to be taking the piss a little when they had kids going up with bits of card etc for Adam to doodle on, but you can't really blame them and Adam did not seem to mind at all
People really should go and see this show in the flesh as no pictures will do justice. Plus i have my very own Adam Neate doodle in my book, plus a funky Ron English Alien

It was a great night and the artists and their families couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I think Paul and Fiona could give lessons on how to pull off a good gallery evening!

I know people who haven't seen the show will no doubt be bored of this comment by now, but all the work really does look better in the flesh - the Elvis comes out at you - but not in a scary "I'm going to eat your kids way" just in a different way. I said to my brother it's ironic that we bought it the day after the inventor of LSD passed away!

What a week to do it - gonna try and get to cans tomorrow if i am not in too much pain - look for the guy in the sling

It's nice when the artists prove they're very human. Adam remembered all about my brother when I introduced them on Thursday which was nice.

My favourite too (young nun), absolutely loved it Graeme along with the one of his son 'young fellow with sword'. Ron English was at cans today along with someone dressed up as a supersized ronald mcdonald and yomster was with them in a father xmas outfit! I have a pic, I'll post later! RE gave my daughter a little toy supersized ronald. It;s the little things that count, Good man

Tough break Pez (see what I did there) Take the pain mate and go enjoy. They're filtering the amount going through, so you should be able to avoid some clotz banging into your sling.
