Soaking the paper and stretching it or painting the other side first would have prevented this - I think. But surely this piece has a big element of expression about it and the immediacy of the process kind of adds to that?

As said, to me that would be part of what makes each unique and original, rather than just a flat print.

It appears in one of Gilbert and George's large collages "bomber (2006)" that appeared in their retrospective show at the Tate in 2007. Also that tag that reads Men2 really is MenZ.
