RetroCanvas ... I did not like BAST for a loooong time ... did not get the multiple eyes, things shooting off all over the place and then I saw a collection of work in real life. the construction of the pieces is not all over the place (unneat). It actually takes you on a journey around the canvas/board/print and juxtaposes imagery that we know. There will always be some pieces from any artist that do not work - but overall I have come to love the BAST.
His collages work a lot, lot better then most artists' collages that I have seen ... and he does go off in different directions as well, eg French Kiss (I am still not sure myself about this one) and the rest of his Botulism show at Laz in Rathbone which was great.
