2 Bast prints that I know nothing about.  They may have been printed with Skewville around 2006/07?

Bast at the Adhoc Gallery, Group Show with Skewville and Lady Aiko. Below are all the photos that I have collected over the years. I'll add them bit by bit as I need to find them all.

I've added 3 more photo of this print. The first is my print and a paste version given to me by gogiarts. The second one see the next screen printed on top and the third one was sent to me by George Benius with all the prints on the floor in the Bast studio. If you have noticed there are 6 prints here but only 5 were sols by castor gallery.

I have update 2 of the Bast posts above. I've added a video featuring skewvilleand 3 new photos. Hopefully the video will work. Thank you the person who sorted out the last video I posted.

Bast Faces on Paper 

Below is a collection of Bast's faces artworks that appeared on the streets of London and New York in the early 2000s. Including this fantastic piece that "Discerning Eye" managed to salvage from a pizza shop. I have included their memories of how they came to get this artwork.







"His stuff was everywhere in the lower east side when I lived there. I used to walk by this pizza joint every day on my way to the subway. It was under construction and had this makeshift plywood door and one day it was covered with Bast  faces. So I asked them if I could have it when they were done. When they replaced the temporary plywood door with a real one, they gave it to me instead of tossing it. I love it and have had it up for years. Not a day goes by that I don't look at it and remember the art scene of the early 2000s in nyc. Good times. RIP Basto"

The 3rd Pizzoli is mine. I have actually always thought they all were the same, just with the paper trimmed differently.

I came across this picture of Bast's Lady Ooze which is in a different colourway I'm not sure if this is a print  or someone has just edited the original colour to this? I have placed the original picture below. If you have  this print or have any information on please let us know. Thanks.

Also, it’s correct that they differ in size. As always Bast took what he had in terms of inventory. Believe both mine and my friends prints are black painted a tergo/on the back side.

Noticed now that my friends print also have a hand finished background. So probably a mixed edition overall despite having a signature in pencil or not. 

I was looking ar some old Bast photos I have on a old computer and came across this Video 6 picture that Blue Collar Rae sent me. Originally this was called video 8 as this file is saved as that.




This is my print of Video 6.

These Instagram reel screen shots were from the Bast account and show a number of old barrels that have been painted by Mike. I think they are located at the Coney island pier. By the look of it there are more than 4 of them.

I love all the recent Bast image posts. I can think of a couple of large original works I'd like to see surface and know where they ended up. One in particular was probably 5ft by 5ft black and white work on paper. Anyway, I'm having trouble with seeing large images on this new forum format. The menu at the top of the page takes up 1/4 of the screen so I can only see the images partially by scrolling through them.

I always read that as Strada (Street).
It's a shame the site is no longer running.
