I see Laz now stick a disclaimer on the tubes to say they are not liable for any damage incurred while unpacking. So what happens if they damage it whle packing? Tough luck by the looks of it! Impossible to prove otherwise.

I'm framing it anyway so it will be covered by the mount so no big deal. If it was a Banksy or something of high value however I would be after a replacement, which with Laz's new policy of "were careful, you're stupid" would prove tricky.

In the Netherlands are statements like: "the organisation of this event is not responsible for any damage to your properties" or this very unfriendly from Laz not valid. Organisations use them to filter serious complaints and maybe save some bucks.. but statements like that can never change your rights..
So I won't take this too seriously..

I dont want it replaced. The framing will cover the dink, like I said earlier, so whats the point?
Was just the first time I have see such a disclaimer on a print tube before.
Also I cant really see how anyone can damage a print by removing it from a tube. Unless you really couldnt give a toss Id imagine most treat it like a new born baby.
Surely practically all damage done to a print would happen at the time of rolling, sliding, capping and transit?
Apart from that, cracking print! Very happy with it!

"Items must be removed carefully from packaging as the gallery accepts no liability for any damage incurred to the artwork during unpacking. All items are packaged before sending with the utmost care and attention; any artwork not in 100% condition as dictated by the artist's working process will not be dispatched."
It's there to remind people to take as much care when removing their prints as we do when packing them.

when i received my last banksy print from POW.
it was marked on the actual print not damaged in transit.
it was missed when it was sent out.
they kindly replaced it.
you sound like you wouldnt.
thats unfair as its not my fault.
the fault lies with the supplier...
