Jef Aerosol π«π· Stencil Street Art , by Heavyconsumer on Nov 15, 2008 1:02:15 GMT 1, "ALL GRAFFITI PIECES SOLD BY GRAFFITI-RECLAMATION ARE BY THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS AND COME STRAIGHT FROM THE WALLS OF THE STREETS. ALL PIECES ARE CAREFULLY REMOUNTED TO SAVE THEM FROM BEING DESTROYED BY LOCAL COUNCILS OR VANDALS."
Really doesn't give the impression he cares to much for leaving street art in the street. More like a cheeky scheister who'd fo anything for an easy buck! Pleanty of those on here too! In fact he's probably a member!

Jef Aerosol π«π· Stencil Street Art , by Ged on Nov 15, 2008 1:03:05 GMT 1, I've just emailed him a link to this very thread, without any comment... maybe if he reads this, he'll feel guilty and paste the piece back where it used to be ! Now, THAT would be a good deed !
He'll probably state in his listing that he's made contact with the artist which endorses this piece as genuine ;D
But, yeh, would be cool if he put it back where it belongs.

Jef Aerosol π«π· Stencil Street Art , by Mike Marcus on Nov 15, 2008 2:27:27 GMT 1, Also his email address is editor@thecreativetimes.co.uk and his "real name" is Bird.
Collectors should note that when artists put work on the street we do so with the expectation that it wont last very long. With this in mind we use cheap, bad quality materials which have short life expectancies. Newsprint paper for instance will become yellow and brittle within weeks or months.
However, when we prepare work for gallery exhibition or sale, we do so using archival materials and acid free supports which are expected to be stable for decades or even centuries.
Because of this, "reclaimed work" is not a cheap way to collect art. Its a waste of money.

Jef Aerosol π«π· Stencil Street Art , by Jef Aerosol on Nov 15, 2008 2:55:48 GMT 1, When I don't spraypaint on walls, I paste up stencilled paper. The paper I use is extremely thin and fragile : it's paper table cloth you can buy in cheap rolls in supermarkets. Of course, I never sell those, they are only meant to be pasted up on the street.

Jef Aerosol π«π· Stencil Street Art , by Jef Aerosol on Nov 15, 2008 2:59:40 GMT 1, I work on canvas a lot, but it's true that I also sell pieces on cardboard and when people ask me how long cardboard can last, I always reply that I honestly don't know ! If you want what you buy to last longer than your own life, I guess you'd rather purchase pieces on canvas or wood, or quality paper... But some people like the "raw" aspect of torn cardboard, let them know it's at their own risk !

Especially you you fat t**t. you deserve a good smack in the mouth. happy sculpting, i hope you find a nice eastern european boy who appreciates your depressingly swag approach.

Jef is entitled to make money from his art because he produced it,If he puts it on a wall you(and everyone else) get to enjoy it for free.Until some selfish idiot claims it as their own.
