Eelus โข Not Everything Print, by gibbin82 on Mar 3, 2011 16:45:00 GMT 1, Cheers..read that a while back, doesn't really say anything bout the work though.. no worries..I guess it simply means not everything is black and white hey. As for the coincidences he talks about.. now having to think of a new name for Inside Out, a show I'm working on this June. Cheers JR :-)
I am not sure if the message behind a piece of work is really that important, what is though is whether the image appeals to the viewer, e.g you can hate some work full of huge statements. The perceived meaning of a picture is to me something in addition to the appeal and just makes for on gong dialog (idle chatter?) with other people interested in the work. I am sure there is many a piece that are often talked about and having real deep meanings placed on them, and the actual artist thinks WTF as he only made it because he liked the image he had in mind or thought it might make an amusing or attractive picture.
To me Not everything is so Black and White as well as being a attractive image says no matter how grey (the background) and wet the day is, there is always something bright and beautiful if you look for it.

...I think the fact that 'Nola' was originally a wall piece created for a particular place at a particular time probably lends it a more specific interpretation, (although quite how that meaning translates once it becomes a print on someones wall I don't know!)
As far as the Eelus goes, I think it was only ever intended to be a painting/print...
Either way, I've not thought that hard about it tbh, I just like it

Eelus โข Not Everything Print, by Replete on Mar 4, 2011 2:54:00 GMT 1, I had a couple of people offer me up to ยฃ900 for the AP just after the ebay auction ended if I'd renege on the ebay sale.
Needless to say I just ignored the emails and completed the transaction with the ebay winner.

Eelus โข Not Everything Print, by nightkid999 on Mar 4, 2011 15:20:58 GMT 1, For the one claimed damage and re-sell in uk, i am the first time buyer at GBP450 something...when I received the print, i find out there have many cracked lines in print, mainly because the paper and paint are thick. This will happen once paint been rolled. At the beginning, the seller refused to refund an d insisted the crack lines existed when it originally purchase... Anyway, ebay did make decision I received a damage print and fianlly got refund, but took me more than a month to settle. It is funny to see the print relisted 2 wks ago and posted my photos I taken of crack lines, and ssold for around GBP280, which less than amount that I previous offered partical refund. Afterward, I buy the print from other seller with flat delivery, as the new seller told me he also received print with crack lines at originally purchase. But he returned to Eelus and get a new replacement. So, if anyone want to buy this print, please check the print in flat before purchase. Crack lines really damage the image, as crack lines likely mix with rainbow vertical lines on print.

yeah anyone that has this print should not keep it rolled. It took 3 weeks to flatten after just being in a tube for a week let alone 5-6 months. If anyones thinking about this, make sure its either framed or flat after all this time other wise it might be an issue
