I'm still wouldn't keen on hanging this in my house, I just don't like how it looks, but if it's you thing then c'est la vie dans la maison. I know I am missing the point, I just like to look at things I like in my house.
Damn, I really need to stop drinking...

Haha - JBOY you really are something - I swear you'd cut off your own todger if you thought you could flip it for a profit on the bay!!!
Whatever happened to buying what you like?
I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is on this one (in true cash in the attic style) by promising that, whenever you do flip it, I'll match whatever you make in profit profit, pound for pound, and donate it to charity. Deal?

Actually portfolios are for creatives, designers, architects and artists.
You gotta admit that it's pretty funny that you went from absolutely detesting someone and their (cough) "art" to thinking it will be THE seminal print of the decade.
I sometimes wonder if you can see all that art you have on your walls with all those ยฃยฃยฃ's in front of your eyes.

NOT TRUE! At the place i work at we want to see someones printed portfolio and see them talk through it. Not all crowd around a laptop at someones website. I know this to be the same as every other brand in my industry.

spot on banksee!!
The computer cannot and will probably never be able to substitute the look and feel of beautifully printed work - whether it be art or design.

for small graphic design pieces (logos/branding etc) i can see how presenting work on a laptop screen might be beneficial but that's about it
the fact that so many people on here talk about seeing something 'in the flesh' sums it up...a computer screen cannot illustrate represent an image in its real form. if paper is 20 years behind the times, why do we buy images we like in paper form and not digitally?

A clothing company. (Apparel Graphics) I know everyone else in this sector will ask for a printed portfolio also. A website will just get your foot in the door for an interview.

Whats the point of a printed portfolio. I used to have one but it gathered dust. Now its all digital and looks ten times better as you can do things you cant achieve on paper.
Have you tried printing something Hi Def on paper - no thought not.
Paper and foam board use is very bad for the environment and the only reason why they used to be used, is because good quality presentation screens were not around back then.
You have to move with the times. seriously.

serious question and not trying to start a pointless argument...why do artists release prints if this is the case, why don't they sell their work digitally instead?

You can still move with the times by haveing a printed portfolio and a website. I dont touch foamboard. My portfolio consists of say 30 odd pages of graphics, illustration. Some photos, some vector. How do you conduct an interview by looking at a screen, it's just not practical. Things looking different on screen as to they do in person. Everyone wants to see a printed portfolio in my business. I guess it's different in advertising or web design.
