TOX π¬π§ Graffiti, Street Art, Artwork For Sale, by Deleted on Feb 22, 2009 21:17:31 GMT 1, Someone please help - I think I'm going mad. I swear to god I've just read 4 pages of people talking about some kid who writes "TOX" on anything he happens to find himself within arms length of in the same breath as Banksy, Eine and Parla.
*hides sniggers*
did u miss B's work where he name checks Tox?

TOX π¬π§ Graffiti, Street Art, Artwork For Sale, by bradpitt on Feb 22, 2009 21:35:19 GMT 1, The TOX tag is about as artistic as your avatar bad robot. Yes TOX gets everywhere, but he shouldn't be called an artist as the thread you started says and I think thats what robinbanks was getting at. The fact that you seem to be weeing your pants in excitement about this release makes me *snigger*, in fact the whole release seems a bit like irony eating itself. I await the fancy frame jobs.

Are you referring to "Thomas"? Quite funny if you are because I just offered to give the postcard version away on another thread. Not sure I'd call it a "name check" though - more just a reference of derivative tagging.
Judging from your "hidden sniggers" though, I obviously can't hold a candle to your infinite street art wisdom and clearly missed the memo about TOX's ground breaking work influencing Banksy.

TOX π¬π§ Graffiti, Street Art, Artwork For Sale, by Deleted on Feb 23, 2009 1:27:32 GMT 1, ffs i was being provocative calling Tox an artist
the point is Tox is as infamous as Banksy is famous and is important whether u rate what he does or not
aww and Robin the sniggers (admittedly it was a prickish thing to write and I regret it ) were because of your screen name and the lack of knowledge regarding B's work - look a little bit further back...

That's not directly correct? most people look straight through 99% of graffiti, especially with regards tags. It's all peripheral vision. Now this is style with tagging... Meet Slick! King of LA... dissizit.com/

TOX π¬π§ Graffiti, Street Art, Artwork For Sale, by dynamixx on Feb 23, 2009 14:38:57 GMT 1, I for one am more excited about this release then I have been about any other for a while, the fact that there's so much hate for this one only makes me want it even more. Art's no fun when everyone's in on the joke.
A limited edition screen print of a shit tag? Genius. Time inside, hitting the streets like no-one else, this moment has been more than earnt.
Anyone debating the artistic merit TOX/this release clearly doesn't have is missing the point.

Good point!
Its not gonna be a massive run anyway is it? so just spraying them would make much more sense, plus they would be more attractive to people.
Anyone know what they are gonna cost?

TOX π¬π§ Graffiti, Street Art, Artwork For Sale, by shower on Feb 23, 2009 15:00:42 GMT 1, tox imo is the modern equivalent of the new york writers in the late 60s and 70s. he is king of the british line and deserves some respect. anyone claiming a writer should die needs to have their head seen to because if it wasnt for writers getting up this whole graffiti/street art revolution would never have begun! i am however suprised that this isnt a set of original tags, a screenprint takes the edge off it a little.
