What Music are you listening to at the moment ?, by Coach on Apr 16, 2011 0:25:55 GMT 1, Hey Slammer - certainly is from Storytelling. Not their best album by a long shot, but had been listening to it in the car, and love the serenity of that simple tune. That album is defo a grower I'm a big fan, you could have called me a stalker at some point. i have an original Drawing by Stuart Murdoch. When I get a chance I'll pm you a pic.
Look forward to it. Huge fan too - possibly the best current band imo.
Any band that starts a song with "He had a stroke at the age of 21, he could have had a brilliant career..." you just know they are going to be superb.

That album with The opening line "he had a stroke at the age of 21" I saw them at Sheppards Bush empire the day that came out. Murdoch sings some of his best stuff on that record.
I had an original vinyl version of 'Tigermilk' many years ago. the opening track is terrible quailty, but it soon goes, what a great album and band. I saw them recently in Bristol and about 7 times in total. They were intentionally a shambles to start with, 9taking about 5 minutes to get ready between each song, but they have grown up a bit now and really kick ass live.
