Classic TOP, here’s a great Iggy tv appearance from Australia 1979. Appears Ig’s mgr told him he’d be doing a run of tv show appearances in Australia with band, when he got over there he found out no band and lip sync. He was not happy.

I agree, it was a great year for albums. A lot of very influential albums were released that year. I still regularly listen to albums released by Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Orbital and Soundgarden from that year.
