Less talking at the back of the class! The Huckster founded Blood and Fire records. If you don't know get to know. I'd recommend starting with "The Dubmasters - X-Ray Music: A Blood and Fire Dub Directory"
And "select cuts from blood and fire chapters 1, 2, and 3" would go down a treat too

It started as a way to annoy my (now ex) neighbours because they were pieces of s**t while not really impacting on us too much (placing a speaker by the ceiling and leaving it on). I'm really starting to like it now though, very relaxing.
This one is interesting (I think anyway).
The Disintegration Loops (2002) - William Basinski.
From Wiki:
Loops is based on Basinski's attempts to salvage earlier recordings made on magnetic tape, by transferring them into digital format; however, the tape had physically deteriorated to the point that, as it passed by the read/write head, the ferrite detached from the plastic backing and fell off.
Instead of stopping he kept recording as the music gradually degrades. I know its a bit strange but I find it very soothing to listen to. Reminds me slightly of Alvin Lucier's 'I'm Sitting in a Room...' .
