I'm not sure what it is, my brain won't tell me at the moment, but this doesn't sit right with me. I think you're doing a very good thing with the charity aspect etc but this makes me feel uneasy... although I'm not 100% sure quite why yet

Crazy Jake ๐บ๐ธ Michael Jacob, by craigf on Sept 11, 2008 22:10:12 GMT 1, I spent the day telling people whether they still had a job or not, not a life threatening thing, but clearly life changing, for some it will be for the good, for others it won't. I was in the first meeting and looked down at the letter and it was the first time I realised the date. It bought back so many memories, the shock in seeing what happened that day will never leave me, the waste of life, knowing things would never be the same again. I guess with everything happening at work it had somehow got to today without me realising. I feel bad that I forgot, even though it was only a couple of hours. Well done CJ on marking the anniversary and making a contribution back to the people who gave so much and in some cases everything to help their fellow men.

Crazy Jake ๐บ๐ธ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Sept 24, 2008 22:02:56 GMT 1, This only applies to handful of people, but I really screwed up shipping some stuff. I thought they shipped ages ago, but I was wrong. I thought a public flogging was in order.
Heres a sample letter I PM'd to those involved.
Name, Sorry its taken a few days to get back with you. First off, Im very sorry for the delay. I searched high and low to find an answer, and I just got it today. They have not been shipped. I usually ship all my stuff out with work. Since I was out of town a while back, I had our shipping people take care of it. They didnt know the boxes were mine to ship out. In the past everything I shipped was in tubes. Since alot of packages go through there daily, they just got shoved out of the way. I am really sorry for this screw up. I pride myself on quick delivery of my artwork. This incident involves those who bought the PEACE bottles, and the free painting I gave away. I will do anything to correct the situation and restore your confidence in buying my art. Here are a few options:
1. I will immediately refund your money if you want. 2. I can ship it out this Friday. 3. I can refund your money, ship it out, and you can repay when it arrives.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Once again, please accept my apology. I never meant it to happen.

Crazy Jake ๐บ๐ธ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Oct 2, 2008 14:29:42 GMT 1, I was laying in bed the other night, thinking about fucked up the world is, especially in the USA, which is where I live. I got to thinking, I cant wait for 2009. 2008 has sucked. Enough politics. Enough bad news. Enough financial bullshit. Our government thinks the new magic number is 850 BILLION dollars to solve stuff. Just imagine the art collection you could get with that! Anyway, the slogan "i hate 08" popped into my head. I decided to put in on some shirts and throw them on ebay. Financially, I really need to sell 50 or more to make if work. Any forum members have any ideas how to promote it. I think its a good idea, but just listing on ebay in the t-shirt section wont attract enough people. Any ideas are appreciated!

Crazy Jake ๐บ๐ธ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Oct 20, 2008 22:28:02 GMT 1, Thanks for looking. Here is a stencil I just did. I couldnt find any paper big enough, so I used a lid from a box I had from a previous print. Itโs my version of โend paperโ. Piece is 24 x 32 inches. Black stencil with hand colored can tops.
I am putting the finishing touches on doing this as a screen print. The screenprint will be black on white RIVES BFK paper (i think it will be 20x28 inches). Edition size will be 75. The colored can tops will be hand painted. I will make it so no two prints will be alike, as I will change the colors around. I am planning on printing these the week of November 17th, shipping the week of November 24th.
**The screenprint will be based on the stencil. It will be more realistic (see below), like a photo (like Banksys Applause).
Here is the Crazy Jake deals (If youre interested):
1. Buy and pay for a print this week (Oct 21-26th) and get the bargain deal of 35 Pounds (plus shipping). 2. Buy and pay before November 17th and only pay 50 Pounds (plus shipping). 3. After release, its 65 pounds (plus shipping)
I do this to help fund the project upfront. As usual, Im one broke motherf**ker.
Thanks for reading!

Crazy Jake ๐บ๐ธ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Oct 24, 2008 15:34:08 GMT 1, I hope you can see the image now???
Here is the artwork I mentioned a week ago, based on my stencil. This will be the final file, with color added to show you the hand painted areas. I will start getting the file ready to screen print. I want to keep it as photo realistic as possible for a screenprint (like Banksys Applause). The image below shows alot of gray, once it gets coverted to dots it will be more black and white. It will be a black screenprint with all spraycan caps hand painted. I will do it so no two prints have the same color order. I was going to do a edition of 75, but Ive changed my mind. Now it will only be 50.
The screenprint will be on white RIVES BFK paper (i think it will be 20x28 inches). I am planning on printing these the week of November 17th, shipping the week of November 24th.
Here is the Crazy Jake deal (If youre interested): (I already have a list going from those who already bought from last week - many thanks!)
