Remembering the Fallen, by PRO on Nov 13, 2009 23:03:02 GMT 1, Is it just me or is this terrible it's so badly executed in so many ways, grafter has no eye for perspective and about as much artistic talent as a blind one handed monkey.
No offense to the blind or one handed monkeys.
Don't know how he gets way with this sort of crap and people like it.
Could have been done so much better..imo

Remembering the Fallen, by bigtlt on Nov 13, 2009 23:20:39 GMT 1, Can't say he has no talent, bet a lot of the people on here would like to own one of the "splash" pieces, if they don't already.
I actually like this piece, and good to see something with a bit of a message.

Remembering the Fallen, by Grafter on Nov 14, 2009 15:09:46 GMT 1, Thanks for all your coments, even you Pro.
To be fair, I do agree that the appearance of the piece could be better. I would have liked to have been able to work on it longer and get more detail into it and there are certain aspects I would have done differently. I wanted to get it up at 11am on Sunday and because of that I was working against the clock and might have rushed a few things in order to get it done.
Having said that, the piece was done in order to make a point and show some support for the people suffering and in that respect I feel it done it's job. It wasn't painted on the side of someones gallery, nor was it done inside a bar with the owners permission. It is a honest, old fashioned street piece in the truest sense of the word and was painted under all the conditions that go along with such a piece. Hopefully most people will view it with that in mind and understand that it's not something prepared under studio conditions with as much time as you need.
overall, I am happy wuth the piece and am proud to put my name to it.
I would also like to know what exactly it is I'm "getting away with". There is nothing for sale here and nothing on offer . If you don't like what you see, just keep on walking, my friend and, I can assure you, I'll keep on doing whatever it is I feel I need to.
Be Lucky

Come on E...
You are more professional than that...
Good piece Grafter, among many I might add. Without wanting to sound like Simon Cowell...timely and relevant.

Hey Pro... why don't you and the GreatArchitect get together this weekend and come up with ANYTHING... I don't care if it's a simple pick of the 2 of you taking care of each other Stonewall style ;D
In the meantime, why not just shut the f**k up and keep the childish comments to yourself... If you got nothing to add but negatives, not much need for you to be around, eh?

Couldn't agree more. That was a very nice wall until this insincere sentimental claptrap appeared!

capitalising on sentimentality is about the most unoriginal thing an artist can do, it's also extremely phoney since neither him nor his audience "remember the sanctity of life" in their everyday lives, i think you'll find its YOU that needs to get a life, live with a little moderation, and while i'm at it i have family who fought in wars and they were not fighting for me they were fighting for a government who had a tiff with another government, before we get into whether my view disrespects the dead lets remember i dont condone war and i treat anyone who was a victim of one with all the respect i can muster- of course theyre not about, and whose fault is that?
if the work had made me think this much i might have given it more merit

Remembering the Fallen, by nex on Dec 17, 2009 12:49:06 GMT 1, where's Grafter capitalising on sentimentality with this image?
i hope your joking when you say that ppl don't understand the 'sanctity of life', sounds ever so slightly egotistical on your part to presume that only you could and not the fans of this image may understand such a concept
