I'm pretty sure that like most 'writers' he will always paint his moniker 'Vermin' outdoors allthough I expect this to become continually more abstracted

Talent always shines through, and Dale seems to have heeps of it.

Would be wonderful to listen to what these images mean to people or they are just aesthetic. Don't see the attraction here really.

The early works had lots of paint and had quiet an aggressive look whereas the later ones were flatter and calmer. Some of the canvases had a landscape look, others seascapes, some mad insects.
We rarely see much that is new on these forums, even rarer that the artist has managed to convey any form of emotion in their work. For me Dale does both but each to their own.

those 1400 Banksy trolley prints looked a bit samey to me.
I completely understand where your coming from Mr Wiz, we both queued and bought nothing for ourselves at the 101 show. i felt half of the canvases were coming from a similar direction. I guess to truly understand each individual piece you would have to get more into Dale's mind and see what was going on a the time.
i would imagine that medicated and suffering from mental illness would make alot of days feel the same. thats why I feel you see the samey effect.
Plus when you have to paint 101 canvases in 101 days. it takes some doing to come up with totally unique ideas and finish them in time for the show.

I was discussing the hirst spot prints and the invader tiles whilst on the grog over the weekend, and these i just don't get, understand nor want, but due to the popularity of these, I am obviously in the minority
The Vermin stuff just hits the spot, and thats about all I have to say about this :-)

Couldn't have put it better myself - I got into abstract about two years ago and have looked at a lot of abstract art since and Vermin's work has been one of only a handful of artists that have really stood out. Fridriks is another abstract artist that I was blown away with when I first saw it in person (for the record  )

I realise that the abstracts are workings of Vermin's name.
But I also see some of the pieces as cracks, in particluar cracks in the brain, so representing mental illness, instability and even insanity. Some are calm cracks, some violent. I may be utterly wrong, but thats how I have interpreted them for myself.
I love mine, and I have someone very special to thank for it.
Undoubtedly one of the favorite pieces I own. And one that gives me most pleasure at the moment - it is a piece that I find myself stopping and looking at, often staring at it for a long time.
As others have said, photo's dont do the depth of the work any justice at all.
