Sold for a little below my cost but transaction has been a doodle so far so again thanks to those concerned.
I didnt expect or ask for this thread to become a public auction but I tried to keep things as fair as possible.
Didnt wish to say prior to the sale but these funds are needed to pay for a new arrival in the household, making a profit was never the aim, paying for a cot and changing unit was.

Good point schnulli and one I'd mulled over, possibly perception - posting a comment that is simply a almost 'joke' like sum feels much more insulting than posting a sum on an established sales listing site. I'd say there's a time and a place, here doesn't sit comfortably, but I can totally understand that being down to my own sensibility.

He also included some exciting news about future projects, including exhibiting a painting at the Royal Academy of Arts in London next month (further details below), a number of potential shows in the US and also the announcement of a prestigious 3 month solo museum show in the UK in 2014, which it sounds like will keep him busy for most of 2013.

The painting in the Royal Academy has been donated by Dale to benefit the charity Studio Upstairs, and is being auctioned on 20 July. Measuring 100x100cm it's a very generous donation and one that will hopefully attract a few bids and raise a decent amount for what is a good cause.
