The 5 and the 9 was already taken.
I hesitate a long time between the 1 and the 2, the 1 for the first genius Dales ' s creation and thought ( we can see - as said my son , 13 - the soul and the matter of the finished canvas is this 1 drawing ) , the 2 for the colour, that Dale loves.
I took the 1, there is a lot in it and I am very happy.
Sorry for my English, sorry to have be taken time, sorry for all , thank you again and I wish you the best of Xmas !

Artists' varnish makes paintings that bit crisper and clearer but I wonder what the effect of the anti-bacterial varnish would be? I'm guessing it adds a further layer of complexity to the paintings but it'll be interesting to see these varnished pieces in the flesh. It's also a very direct reference back to his time in hospital.
This one's also been posted on the Facebook page:
"The canvas that doesn't stop crying. 110cm x 110cm. This will not be on show at The Herbert Art Gallery because it's constantly wet."
