Mailing list update

First of all, we would like to wish everyone a happy 2014. We would also like to update you quickly on a few key events:

Walls with Wounds

As some of you will know, Dale has been working on a landmark and historic art exhibition for the past year. The show will open on Saturday 15th February at 10am at the wonderful Herbert Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry and will run until the 18th May. The show is titled 'Walls with Wounds', with sponsorship coming from Shropshire based DASH and the IN Project. It is also being funded by Arts Council England.

We are also pleased to announce that an official edition of 300 'Walls with Wounds' catalogues will be available for purchase in the Herbert shop.

New Management

Since October 2013 Dale has been working under Vanessa Brodrick who deals with all aspects of Dale's career on a management basis. Vanessa has a wonderful CV and reputation as an art consultant, working for the top British auction houses Phillips and Christies as well as helping to establish a major London Gallery in St James's to now setting up her company VB Fine Art independently. Vanessa is supported by Incito Advisory, who also has extensive knowledge of the emerging contemporary art market.

New print editions coming soon

And finally, Dale is releasing two new hand finished giclee prints to coincide with his Museum show titled 'Autumn Leave' and 'The Fire is over' . Both prints will be watercolour hand decorated and hand stitched on 42 x 29,7cm Hahnemuhle etching paper. We are running a small edition 35 of each and they can be reserved now through Vanessa at the sale price of £125 each. You can see an example at the top of the page for Autumn Leave. Please email info@VBfineart.com to keep up to date with the release or make an immediate reservation.

The original to 'The Fire is Over' is still in production stages but it will be ready for release around the estimated time of 13th February.
The aims are for Vanessa to deal with overseas customers or customers who cannot attend. A small part of the edition will be available at the Herbert shop for people attending the show. With an estimated 7000 people attending we would advise making a reservation if you are keen to make a purchase. Vanessa can also help with the purchase of the catalogue for overseas customers.

We would just like to say thank you for the support towards Dale's growing career and thanks for reading. We hope that you attend 'Walls with Wounds' to see a fantastic collection of museum sized works and smaller pieces.

Not far from my old stomping ground of brum. Hope to travel down from Yorkshire. Love that drawing coach. Is it from this show? Where can I get his og sketches/drawings from? Not been familiar with his work til recently & must say do like it.

There was a feed on Dales Facebook earlier saying print had sold out apart from the few available at The Herbert but it's not there anymore so not sure what the situation is re availability
Managed to get an 'Autumn Leave' print which I'm thrilled at as it's a beauty in my humble opinion

I read that it was sold out too, which is a total contradiction to the print release info.

Bit unfair on anyone making an actual effort to travel afar to the show IMO.

There are only 35 of each which even if all were allocated to the museum shop would still sell out on the preview night of the 13th !    Now your not even guaranteed to buy at the preview never mind the opening day

I'm a huge fan of dales work maybe the biggest but the post I read earlier on my phone at work has left a sour taste.

I always imagined that Demand was going to be way more than print amounts. But, no one can ever say Dale and his team haven't always tried to accommodate and been very generous to his fans. 
And sorry you had a rubbish day sweetcorn. I'm sure you'll get something.

An allocation of both editions will be available to buy from the Herbert from the 13 February on a first come, first serve basis.

In addition, Dale has requested that a part of each edition is made available to those who are unable to make it to the exhibition – these will be available through Dale's manager, Vanessa Brodrick. Please contact Vanessa at info@vbfineart.com to express an interest in the editions and she will contact you when they are available to order. Please note the Herbert will not be taking orders over the phone or by email.

There was also a newsletter to Dale's mailing list containing the same information.

It's only Vanessa's allocation that has sold out, and even that's only on paper. Payments haven't been taken yet. If I were you, I'd e-mail her to be put on the wait list in case a reservation is cancelled.

There are 70 prints in total. You're not obliged to buy both.

Wow! They didn't hang around for long; congratulations to everyone who got one. It'd be great to see the different stitching and hand finishing when they arrive.

Anyone heard back from Vanessa about reserving a print or catalogue?

I heard back last week confirming I had print and signed catalogue but not heard anything since. Vanessa was going to send invoice etc

Struggling to get Thursday afternoon off so looks like it's a long drive up after work, Just hoping there will be something left for me !

Just been going through some old photos and came across this from Dale's 'Coast to Coast' show at Rook and Raven.  Unfortunately, I can't find any of my other photos from the show.
