I was offered it Wiz and in the end didn't go for it. From memory it was price in the ยฃ3k - ยฃ4k range by Laz.

To be honest i was wondering how the buyer of the original was now feeling knowing that the image on their original was less unique as it has been used on this print?, though they still have the original of course so i dont suppose that really matters. I dont remember seeing this one on the ones offered?.

Could be an interesting topic. My feeling is that having a print made out of the original is that it would make more people aware to the artist and the painting in question. thus making it more desirable. Just my thinking.

I was really very happy. I am not bothered other people can own the image. There is only one original, and it belongs to me.
I am indeed happy, and honoured that my piece was deemed to be good enough to be reproduced. I am not selfishly upset that other people can look at is as well.

Trouble I have with this print is that it wasn't made to be an etching, and the lack of detail/shading shows... I think.
I imagine it was machine made, rather than hand etched (as Matt Small's etchings are). I don't know an awful lot about etchings, but maybe someone else knows....?

I think that Friendly Fire has been up for over a year! I was after this for a long time (until I recently did a swop deal with a forum member) so Iโm something of an expert on Micallef eBay sales as I checked daily. Actual auctions for his prints on eBay are pretty rare.
I have no idea why some sellers persist in doing this.
If anything it just shows one thing, nobody wants it, especially when lower BIN prices for the same print are listed at the same time and remain unsold.
Like all Micallefs on eBay with a high BIN price, they will remain unsold and be relisted month after month.

The last one I had any real interest in was a 'Girl Tokyo' at the beginning of November, sods law, was on a train in the North East at the time trying to bid on my iPhone over 3G... missed it by about ยฃ20
