As a photo book collector, I admit I have to do this sometimes, but never at that price point! At least the production quality should be high, as Taschen doesn't skimp on the limited editions. I have LaChapelles "Artists and Prostitutes" and it really is a piece of art in its own right.
Personally I'm waiting for Phaidon to release "Steve McCurry: The Iconic Photographs" in September, which is another large format deluxe edition book (with print), but at half the price on Amazon. A much better deal IMO.

Thanks very much for the link. Steve's work is always stunning, as are phaidon's large format books so this should be great and also a very affordable way of getting a signed McCurry print>

They are mostly rock photography (but they also have a Peter Blake print set)
