Laurence is cool. Scatty as f*** with a head like a siv and his delivery times can be somewhat delayed but he will not f*** off with your dosh.
Laurence is business partners with Steve from L-13 formally The Aquarium who had a huge closing down sale and went on hoilday for a few weeks before everything had been posted out which damaged their reputation on here but they both are reputable galleries.
(Useless fact) Laurence has worked with Banksy and was going to hold his first exhibition in London until Laz came along.

The first one arrived damaged so I asked for a partial refund then I was scared that the other be damaged too so we both agree to cancel the second transaction. it's been 2 months and I still have nothing in hands. I paid and still waiting for the refund. So 2 weeks ago I contacted him and said he could send me back the print. I was very tired waiting for the refund but he told me someone is interested (last saturday)and comes to see the print...so he would be able to refund me......... and then nothing. I spoke to him today and he tells me I will ship the print today. I don't know what to think:(

Always really nice to deal with and I certainly don't think they'd go running off with your cash. I get the feeling that, like the Aquarium, the closing down sale is part of an ongoing reinvention/move to property with cheaper rent.
They do always have in a few nice surpise pieces - some great William S Burroughs paintings a while back that were excellently priced. As for the Banksy connection, he used to have a shitload of copies of Rude Copper that he got dirt cheap when Banksy first started with prints. Alas all gone now and no doubt for a pinch more than ยฃ35 each!

There are a few positive comments from people on the forum about Amuti, but might be worth your while checking the score rather than waiting another week
