Agent Provocateur π¬π§ Street Art β’ Herrods β’ Stencil Art, by Agent Provocateur on Apr 10, 2009 16:39:25 GMT 1, Thanks guys, didn't really know the reaction to these...
Glad you're liking the Burberry check EuropeanBob
And yep I'm sure there's a few out there that would enlist for some exclusive handouts Mish Mash
CZK, glad the message gets across, I think your wording is a bit more eloquent than mine!
Coach, all is well, been a bit hectic at the start of the year getting the Circus stuff ready for the Urban Scrawl show. As well as the stencils in the show I also donated two to two charity auctions.
Pezlow's charity auction, The Oli Bennett Charitable Trust, got a gnarly wood 'Tipping Point' that has no spray just fire!
And I also donated a large wooden tipping point to Inkies charity auction, Inkies Cochlear Implant charity auction, that is one of my favourite paintings I've done to date. I was really happy with the texture from the acrylic, ink, fire and spray and the dark smoke filled atmosphere it conjures up
The series of three images above are only on my computer atm, when I did them at the end of 2007 I realised that they were more suited to screen printing than stenciling. And because the LV iconography, war, guns, missiles etc had been done a lot I decided to crack on with simpler stencils ('Limited edition' and 'Second Coming').
Ahhh I'm afraid you'll have to wait a bit longer for the 'Flats of Parliament' stencil and 'No room at the Holiday' paste up type print as I'm preparing a couple of pieces for the 'Small is Beautiful' online exhibition and also the TB+TC show (poster below) during the Brighton Festival next month!
... buuuut you may like a couple of the mini paintings that will be in the 'Small is Beautiful' show coach There should one of my early pieces that never made it to canvas and also a political building detail
Thanks again for the feedback fellas ;D

First time I've seen the full line up... fascinated to see all the work
My corner of the wibbly wobbly world www.aprovocateur.co.uk has had a little spring clean and I'm in the process of loading all my images to a new Flickr account... will post the details when everything's up!

Agent Provocateur π¬π§ Street Art β’ Herrods β’ Stencil Art, by Agent Provocateur on Apr 27, 2009 14:53:54 GMT 1, Afternoon
Edge Art's 'Small is beautiful' show just went online at www.edgeart.co.uk with lots of pieces... all 200x200mm or smaller and Β£100 or under. It's a grab yourself a bargain time with work by illjoseph, Doc, Oliver Winconek and many many more!
I managed to do a couple of small canvas editions, one old and one new ;D
After doing my 'Festive Flats of Parliament' Christmas card I cut a mini stencil of it and did a canvas edition for this show. Just to keep you on your toes there's a weird numbering system, rather than 1 to 10 I decided to give them all flat numbers!
'Flats of Parliament' Mini (white canvas) - Canvas: 200x200mm (deep edge) Edition: 10 Edition no.s: '10A', '24', '32B', '49', '55', '67A', '71', '88', 95B' and '101' CoA: 'Festive Flats of Parliament' Christmas card / ed. of 75 (see second pic) Cost: Β£35.00 each plus P&P 6 left
I also did two small editions of my 'Limited Edition' stencil. When Edge Art mentioned the show 'round March time I realised it was nearly a year to the day that I showed my first work on here. So I thought as an anniversary, and because I never did any canvases of it last year, this was the perfect time.
'Small Limited Edition' Black (grey canvas) - Canvas: 200x200mm (deep edge) Edition: 3 CoA: Handwritten section of old Nike trainer box Cost: Β£40.00 each plus P&P SOLD OUT
'Small Limited Edition' Grey (grey canvas) - Canvas: 200x200mm (deep edge) Edition: 3 CoA: Handwritten section of old Nike trainer box Cost: Β£40.00 each plus P&P SOLD OUT
I have also been beavering away at APHQ trying to get the digital elves to update the website with limited success! I have put alot more images on (well on the APHQ and Circus pages) and have also added a contact page so it's a lot easier for people to send messages
Thanks for having a quick butchers, all comments, jokes, random quotes and rumours appreciated ;D

Funnily enough just put up the 2 'Lip Service' canvases for the wife... Took some pics to send to you only to find that she has taken the memory card out and left it in the photo shop last time she printed pics.. !! Once I've got a new memory card for her I'll send them over.. Look stunning either side of the white shutters in the bedroom!.. Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Have you had a chance to take any pics of the two 'Lip Service' canvases yet?
I just checked my Small is Beautiful work and there's only 1 tiger left and 6 'Flats of Parliament' canvases!
Is anyone coming along to the TB+TC event in Brighton this weekend?

Agent Provocateur π¬π§ Street Art β’ Herrods β’ Stencil Art, by Agent Provocateur on May 11, 2009 16:23:27 GMT 1, Thanks
... the shading was quite tricky, wanted it to be subtle but not too subtle!
Retro, I did think about incorporating a gun, but decided to keep the image as simple as possible. I felt the beret, army boots and uniform were enough to show the guy is a soldier.
The flower is meant to be the focal point leading the eye from the bottom left to top right...
