on the other hand i think it a bit out of order to be suggesting prices for things, i would never think about doing that to anyone else. If you can produce work and get it printed and its a good quality, then i would quite happily pay that for it. Ive seen people spend alot more on alot less over the years on here. believe me.
i dont know why, but for some reason lately every thread turns to being about money. If you would like the reason why i decided to do this - it is because there is 101 ideas i want to produce but never had the chance. I was going to get a few prints done for family and friends and because of the cost it made no sense to get a few done, so i am opening it up to everyone else. Contrary to a few peoples perceptions, i am not setting out to do anything else apart from produce some nice - cool prints for people to enjoy.

Some people dont realise the process in getting prints made, especially low runs. They dont just appear out of nowhere. You need to pay for the screens (so thats two screens for playgirl), you pay for the ink and thats two inks, the paper at 50x70 times x amount of prints, then the persons time for printing them. Then theres the cost of getting them online and getting secure payment methods, then there is dealing with the orders and getting them shipped. And this is all on top of everything else. If they were cheaper (say ยฃ15 - ยฃ20 each) they would need to be a giclee and no one likes a giclee.
I'm not familiar with how the print club works but could you not sign up and become a member? That way you could screen the prints yourself - becoming more involved in the creative process and saving on labour costs?
As for the costs of getting them online and secure payment can you not just put them on ebay for a fixed price and use paypal? I know it's not necessarily the most credible way for an "artist" to start their career but if you are genuinely just doing this to sell off some overs to cover costs for gift prints then that might be the better option as it is cheap, there is a wide audience and the buyers are offered security.
