I used to be rude. Well corrected, BRUP indeed - not from the streets obviously

back in the day maybe
The word "Brup" a secondary advancement of the word "Brap" is commonly used by the majority of the British society of today. The multi defined saying has several meanings; 1. A person of higher class, social status or general wealth has unfortunately been humiliated in public. And 'Brup' is uttered to show success, and draw attention. 2. "Brup" indicates what social class you fall into this being "UK spongers". 3. Used to show a distinct need for attention. Chavs can be seen doing this in town centres, outside the local Mc. Donald's, and KFC. 1. "Chav 1" - Hey bro. Dis shit is tight, go murk dat fassy wit a big, bitch slap. Aye? "Chav 2" - Yeah. Wud be berr sick n ting... "Chav 3" - Ight. *Chav 3 wanders over to a reasonably dressed man and slap him round the face*

Santa's Ghetto 2010 • Marks & Stencils, by connecta1 on Nov 26, 2010 14:41:15 GMT 1, ...queuing overnight for what exactly?
I asked about what form the Banksy release would take and they said they had "absolutely no info, except that it's December"
Just back from there... arrived around 11.30 and queued for around 40 minutes... fricking COLD.
Got a snap of the Micallef... lovely image but very small and pricey. Release is tomorrow, apparently there will be a '"very limited" number to buy online.
Loved the Dran work and the Banksy originals are great, much of the rest of it did nothing for me. New Insect stuff is a bit dull and they seem to be pushing a lot of old prints.

Santa's Ghetto 2010 • Marks & Stencils, by stickitup on Nov 26, 2010 14:49:14 GMT 1, the old print push is the norm at POW as they sit on a stock pile of releases which to be honest should have had quality control take a look first or the edition run reduced to a couple of hundred.

Think its probably correct. They probably have some preferences but nothing finalised yet.

I'm guessing you don't work in marketing.

Ha, I did that in 2007 - I was buying nearly every print they released, none of which I ever framed... older and wiser this year (I think!)

Are you suggesting there is another reason for them pushing old print releases ,which they are sat on a big pile from the original release?

Just one thought, do we get an extra days holiday for Chritmas? Do we get Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Monday and Tuesday in lieu of those and then Chritmas Day after that. Might as well have the whole week off at this rate.....

The painted original (fairly sure this was a small original at Lazarides?) has really subtle shading, which seem to get lost in the etching completely. Looks a tad heavy handed.
